Telefón

Telefón

A phone booth in Bunratty, Co. Clare, Ireland. Right next to an awesome castle (Bunratty Castle). Also right next to a pub called Durty Nelly’s, so there’s that.

The mix of stone & orange brick in the wall standing behind to the green of the phone booth. It’s fabulous.

  1. Wow, thats a blast from the past, i remember this well. It must be the only phone box left in the country. Is it still working. We stayed there on a staycation about five years ago. We got one of those houses n the grounds of the Shannon-Shamrock. Dirty Nellies was a great spot. Many a night we had to walk up that dark lane. The Castle is an absolute gem, did you do the banquet feast? Thanks for sharing 🙂

    • That’s crazy! I can’t believe you have been here. We were just passing through here on our way to the Cliffs of Moher so this was just a quick rest stop for our group & unfortunately we didn’t get to do much here except wander around for 15 minutes. I really wanted to go inside the castle but it didn’t look open. It is such a pretty area. I love that you recognized the phone booth!
